The former have uniformly large yellow or orange-colored flowers, and are well adapted for large beds or mixed borders ; the atter are dwarfer in growth, with beautifully striped flowers, and better suited for bedding purposes or for pot culture; ihey succeed best in a light soil with full ex- posure to the sun ; half-hardy annuals.
