Surreal sculpture of a dead cow stuck up a tree - public art in Melbourne Docklands, Australia, an urban regeneration area.
"Cow up a Tree", a sculpture by John Kelly, situated in Melbourne Docklands. While at first it may appear surreal, it is based on the apparently real sight of the bodies of drowned cows being found in trees after floods. The statue is eight metres tall, and is cast from five tonnes of bronze. It was originally installed in 2001. Image integrity statement: This image is an accurate representation of the original scene; no elements have been 'photoshopped' in or out.
