The tram of Opicina is a historic tram of Trieste. It connects the town of Opicina with the city of Trieste, its route is very steep. The Opicina tramway in 2022 celebrates 120 years since its inauguration on 9 October 1902. It is the oldest functioning tramway in Europe. The tram has been stopped since 08/16/2016 following an accident. It will probably resume functioning in 2023.
