Beck-strand, president of the Millard Stake,Nov. 13, 1921, by Apostle Richard Brother Callister held thisposition until Sept. 16, 1928, when, under the hands of Apostle David , he was set apart as presidentof the Millard Stake, which positionhe now holds. Pres. Callister has al-ways been active in the Church, work-ing in the Sunday School and the Mu-tual Improvement Association, andfrom Oct. 23, 1925, to May 9, 1926,filled a mission in California, being thefirst short term missionary to volun-teer his On May 17, 1906, in the Salt LakeTemple, he married Millie Peterson,daughter of Andreas and AdelaideMathews Peterson of Scipio, Utah. Tothis union were born the followingchildren: Edith Helen, Leland Clark,Duane Harold, Blane, Rulon Andreasand Grant Thomas. While Brother Callister has neversought political office, he has servedas city engineer, city councilman andmayor of Fillmore City, county sur-veyor of Millard County and Staterepresentative to the Utah Legisla-ture.
