At the bell of the Congregational Church summoned citizensand visitors to listen to the literary exercises of the day. The Gov-ernor and his Staff and other invited guests, together with some ofthe venerable citizens of Brunswick were seated on the. platform,and the exercises were carried out in accordance with the followingprogramme :.
