A fine gar- den variety, differ- ing from White Strap Leaf only in the shape of its leaf, this growing broader and rough edged. Price per pkt., 5c.; per oz., loc; per lb., 40c. Early White Strap Leaf. A good flat turnip for early or late culture, and grows to a large size. Price per pkt., 5c.; per oz., loc; per lb., 40c. ^Strawberry or Ground Cher= ry. This, unlike other vari eties, grows in a husk or pod, and ma}- be kept all winter if the husks are no; removed. For early use, sow as soon as the ground can be worked in the spring, in drills fourteen inches apart, covering but slightly, except in dry weather. The soil should be light and, if possible, new. Manure with plaster, ashes or phosphate. Thin the early varieties to six inches apart, and the Ruia Bagas from eight to ten inches. For fall and winter use, the early kirds should be sown in July and August, and the Ruta Bagas through June. Hoe them a month after sowing. Long White or Cow Horn.
