The bottom board of the music compartment, which is 2 depth, should also be well selected to avoid splitting, andcut sufficiently large to have the under edge all around relisheddown to >< in. to fit into a corresponding groove provided onthe inside of the rails before the entire construction is finallybrought together and glued up.
