Abbeyfield, previously The Abbeyfield Society founded in 1956 by Richard Carr-Gomm, is a UK charity providing sheltered housing and care homes for the elderly. They are based in St Albans and currently have over 700 houses and 80 care homes throughout the UK. The photograph shows Abbeyfield House, a sheltered housing scheme, in Bromley Road, Beckenham.
