Remarks: As Dr. Hubbard indicated (ibid) this flea is close to Thrassis gladiolis, difference noticeably in fiinger and VIII ster- nite in the males (mislabeled as IX sternite in holotype descrip- tion). Female identification can be made only on a close com- parison of the spermatheca and sternite VII of both PLATE 3 Thrassis augustsoni Hubbard, allotype, sternite VII and spermatlieca. 11.
