Female greater spotted woodpecker on side of tree trunk fat or suet feeder with drilled fat holes at the rear. The trunk is in a feeding station at a hide at Warnham nature reserve. There is a resident female and male that visit the trunk and nut feeders at times. I used a sigma 150 600 lens on a canon 60d camera to get the image closer. This female bird has no red crimson at the nape or back of head like the male bird does.
