Bregger, Oregon Agricultural College IT is now the time when peach grow- ers are looking forward to the annual spraying campaign against peach leaf curl. It is the wintering habit of this fungus which makes it one of the easiest of fungous diseases to control. The spores which carry the fungus over winter are believed to be lodged on the bud scales, and for this reason the growers find it absolutely necessary to spray before the buds begin to open in the spring. Neglect to do this very thing has been the cause of practically all their failure to control this disease in the past.
