Caesaraugusta Roman Theater is a theater built in the first half of I century BC in Caesar Augusta, now Zaragoza. Had capacity for about six thousand spectators and the theater was modeled on Marcello Theater in Rome. Was in use until the third century that its materials were reused to build walls and other buildings. The city of Zaragoza has more than two thousand years of history. The Roman city was a colony Caesaraugusta Octavian Augustus refunded by veterans of the Cantabrian wars between the years 25 and 12 BC. In 714 it was occupied by the Saracen Musa ibn Nusair and became an important Muslim center called "Medina al-Baida Saraqusta" (Zaragoza the white), which unsuccessfully tried to occupy Charlemagne in 788. One of the most celebrated personages of this city was the painter Francisco de Goya, painter famous for his paintings about disasters of the War of Independence between Spain and France. A few years ago, was celebrated the International Exhibition of Zaragoza, recognized international exhibition was held from June 14 to September 14, 2008 and whose main theme was "Water and sustainable development". Is very famous as well the patron saint, the Virgin of the Pilar
