DĘBOWO, POLAND: AN EPIC battle has taken place between two white tailed eagles coming together in a mighty clash of the TALONS. The battleground pictures show one formidable predator taking down a fox and then trying to fend off a fearless competitor. The two rivals can be seen going talon-to-talon over several rounds attempting to claim the fox carcass for themselves. Meanwhile some calculating crows are pictured on the scene, cunningly getting their claws on the carcass and stealing it from the birds of prey. British photographer Ron McCombe (61) from the Scottish Borders region took a five-day trip to Dębowo in central Poland to get close to this action.
