The lunette (semi-circular area) is divided into five segments containing garland-bearing cherubs or putti, titled 'Composition of Children'. In the centre is a display of watercolour drawings, framed by a pair of pilasters painted to resemble marble, each supporting an acanthus-leaf corbel with a roof bracket above.
