An international expedition team of cavers trek through Uzbekistan's Boysuntov Range.
After finally reaching the col (midway ridge) and the highest point of the hike back down from the teams intermediate camp towards the roadhead, the line of people and the 10 donkeys pass over the ridge and continue downhill all the way to where the truck awaits them at the end of the road. The further the team walk and the lower in altitude they get, the more the trail encounters vegetation, passing bushes and trees. A very different landscape to what they had been used to during the previous 2-3 weeks, especially underground in the caves. In this picture, Giovanni Gurrieri from Italy and Russian team member Ivan Russkhikh take care of the donkey they have chosen to look after and see that it gets down to the roadhead in one piece without dropping any of the teams bags of equipment.
