Prince Charles Alexander of Lorraine (Charles Alexandre Emanuel de Lorraine) (12 December 1712 in Lunéville, France - 4 July 1780 in Tervuren, Belgium) was a Lorraine-born Austrian general and soldier, governor and de facto sovereign of the Austrian Netherlands, and sometime duke of Lorraine. The statue of Prince Charles Alexander of Lorraine is located outside his former residence in Brussels. Charles was governor-general of the Austrian Netherlands (modern Belgium) from 1744 to 1780.
