The White Wyan- dottes breed remarkably true, resembling the Laced variety in form, shape and general char- acteristics, but in plumage are a pure snow ivhite. The bright red faces and ear lobes and rich yellow legs contrasting with the fine form and white plumage make them a very handsome breed. They mature quickly, and their lull- breasted, plump bodies, yellow skin and legs will make them valuable as table fowls, while they are also first-rate layers. Eggs for hatch- ing, from the very best stock, $ per 6; $ per 13; WYANDOTTES (Silver-Laced), the wyandottes, origi- nally known as American Seabrights, have gained their widespread popu- larity purely by their own merits. While they do not generally lay quite as many eggs as the Langshans, they have the advantage of beautiful yellow skin and legs, and this point will greatly tell in their favor wherever a prejudice exists against white-skinned birds. Their origin is supposed to J have been a cross of the Silver-Span- gled Hamburg and Dark Brahma, with ' probably some blood from the Cochin family. They have almost the size and general outlines of the White Cochin, yet modified into a more sprightly and neater type.
