They live Hazelwood, in herfathers old home. Daniel M,; m., 3rd, Sept. 8, 1880, Catherine Gates, neeClemens, who d. 1899, the daughter of James Clemens, Jr., andgranddaughter of John Mullanphy. They had no issue. Daniel M. Frost entered West Point July 1, 1840, and grad-uated fourth in his class, in 184<4. He was a fellow studentwith Grant, McClellan, Rosecrans, Franklin, Stonewall Jack-son, and Hancock. He was Lieut, of 1st Artillery, U. S. A.,1848. In 1846, as a Mounted Rifleman, was sent to JeffersonBarracks, Mo. He served in the Mexican War under , from Vera Cruz to the City of Mexico. In 1849, he withhis regiment crossed the plains to Oregon and later was Brig. Gen. of Mo. St. Guar
