Asian game birds, 19th-century artwork. At upper left: Sonnerat's or grey junglefowl (Gallus sonneratii). At upper right: a crested fireback (Lophura ignita). At centre left: a Lady Amherst's pheasant (Chrysolophus amherstiae). At centre right: a silver pheasant (Lophura nycthemera). At lower left: a Nepal or crimson horned pheasant (Tragopan satyra). At lower right: a crested partridge (Rollulus rouloul). All are game birds from Asia. Artwork from 'Encyclopaedia Metropolitana', an encyclopedia published in London between 1817 and 1845. Thirty volumes were issued in 59 parts, with 22,426 pages and 565 plates.
