Collection of rusty anchors on Barril Beach, Tavira Island, Portugal
Known locally as Cemitério das Âncoras (cemetery of anchors). After the collapse of the tuna fishing industry the anchors, which were used to anchor the large nets, were abandoned all along the coast. Over time somebody, know ones who, decided to clear up some of the anchors and arranged them in front of the old fishing cottages.
