Hailing from rural Carmarthenshire in Wales Dewi is an endurance British athlete competing on the track, road and cross country. There aren’t many athletes around who are so adept across several disciplines demonstrated through him having represented Wales more than 50 times and worn a GB vest more than 15 times. 2017 was a breakthrough year with PB’s across all endurance distances on track and road including a marathon debut in Frankfurt of for 5th place overall. Off and on injuries since 2018 combined with the dearth of racing due to the Coronavirus in 2020 have meant frustrations but notable results as well. in Houston Half in 2019, a at London Marathon in the same year, 46 at the Olympics trails at Kew Gardens in 2021. After missing the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games it was finally time for a championships and this time on home soil. Racing through the streets of Birmingham on a warm day Dewi placed 11th overall in When Dewi isn’t training, he’s working on his family’s farm. Discipline, hardwork and focus is key to his success.
