The US Marshals Service honored fallen Deputy Commander Pat Carothers, who lost his life in the line of duty Nov 18, 2016, while apprehending a dangerous fugitive, in a ceremony at the USMS Headquarters. Members of the law enforcement community witnessed the Carothers’ family receive the fallen hero’s purple heart and credentials, and the unveiling of Carothers’ name on the USMS Wall of Honor in recognition for his life of service.
