Trichocentrum tigrinum, a warm to hot growing, miniature sized, orchid from Ecuador and northern Peru in seasonally dry forests on the western slopes of the Andes at elevations of sea level to 700 meters. From Iconographie des Orchidees, a magazine of botanical illustrations published by Jean Jules Linden (1817-1898) was a Belgian botanist, explorer and horticulturist who specialised in orchids.
