Upon Am-pelopsis qidnqiiefolia a Cercospora is morecommonly found, but apparently no com-parative study of these different forms hasbeen made. Cercospora circumscissa Sacc. is one of theshot-hole-producing leaf fungi of the genusPrunus. It occurs on some of the nativeAmerican as well as cultivated species ofplums and cherries (Fig. 147) and on the nec-tarine and peach.
