War-time fire presuppression crew. Most of these boys were 16 and 17 years old from various high schools of the cities of Seattle and Spokane. The worked under special permits and were recruited for the colville Reservation by the State ; Scope and content: Photographic reports compiled by Harold Weaver illustrate forest management on Indian Reservation forests of Washington and Oregon, mainly on Colville where Weaver was Forest supervisor before becoming Regional Forester in 1960. Ther are a few photos of California and Montana and reports of scientific field trips.
