Vicksburg is in the final phase of a Special Selected Restricted Availability (SSRA) as part of the Navy’s Guided Missile Cruiser/Landing Ship (CG/LSD) Modernization Program. The CG/LSD Modernization Program is a Chief of Naval Operations direction intended to provide the fleet with modernized, air defense platforms into the late Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) is providing oversight for the SSRA.
