PANCREAS TRANSPLANT, DRAWING

Transplantation of the pancreas - sample of the graft. The transplantation of the entire pancreas is usually undertaken in the treatment for type1 diabetes, when the patient does not respond to insulinotherapy, and present severe complications or terminal renal insufficiency. The intervention is done in three stages : sample of the graft (see. image 1074807), reconstruction of the vascularization of the graft (here) and transplantation (see. images 2862708 and 2862808). The donor of the pancreas (in yellow) is removed entirely with the duodenal frame (duodenopancreatectomy). Then, the vascularization of the graft must be re-established by reconstructing an arterial axis. An iliac segment of the donor in Y , including the common, external and internal iliac arteries, is used to extend the splenic artery and the superior mesenteric artery of the graft. See. images 1074807 for the sample of the graft, 2862708 and 2862808 for the transplantation.
