Harpokrates or another child god with the club of Herakles, 332–30 BC
Harpokrates or another child god with the club of Herakles, Late Period–Ptolemaic Period, 332–30 BC, From Egypt, Green Faience, h. cm (1 3/8 in.), Harpokrates was frequently represented in Hellenistic form. In this small amulet where the child-god is recognizable by the finger to his mouth, he also holds the knobby club of Herakles. The identification of Harpokrates and Herakles seems to go back to warrior characteristics the Egyptian god had acquired in earlier syncretisms with other Egyptian gods
