Boston, Mass - November 2013; OK, it's an American flag - Old Glory, Stars and Stripes, whatever you want to call it. But it is flying in a particularly significant place regarding the country's national identity. In Boston Harbour, in 1773, occurred the Boston Tea Party, when protestors threw crates of East India Tea into the Harbour in a protest against taxes and anything else they felt angry about at the time. This was one of the pivotal events precipitating the War of Independence, and the establishment of the United States in 1776.
