A burgonet with three combs, Augsburg, circa 1540/50 Skull forged in one piece with three low, serrated combs. There is a plume socket riveted at the nape and hinged cheek pieces on the sides. A short, slightly angled brim with a turned under corded rim. Numerous double holes for fastening the fabric helmet covering. The Augsburg acceptance mark (pine cone) is stamped on the front of the brim next to the arsenal mark of the Vienna Armory. Height cm. Light burgonet that was originally provided with a velvet cloth covering. Kaiser Karl V wears a similar helm,
