Moyer.)N looking over a pile of old magazines recently Iran across a comic pic-ture of two birds whobad made their home inthe center of a hugearchery target aroundwhich numerous arrowswere flying. Papa Birdwas remarking to that the locationof their homes was ap-parently about the safest in the neighbor-hood. At first glance there is little that is prac-tical in such a picture; it appears exagger-ated and unreal. But it isnt. If one wereto label that target Perfection, namethe two bir^s Chagrin and Disappoint-ment, and the archers Mankind, hewould be presenting a scene that, figurativelyspeaking, is taking place every moment ofthe day. It is certainly a fact that morepeople shoot at Perfection than hit it, andChagrin and Disappointment are generallyright there to laugh at their bad marks-manship. The reason most people are bad marksmenis because they arent willing to spend afair amount of time and energy in is decided
