Mus. ix, p. 30 (1913). J. Head: occiput, f rons, which is moderately wide with parallel linear edges, and face all black, with a few black bristles, the latter with a pair of long bristly hairs; vertex with three distinct large reddish ocelli, with a pair of strong divaricate bristles between the upper ones. Antennae yellow; 3rd joint elongate onion-shaped, with a long closely pubescent black arista, ending in a small bare black pointed bristle ; the first two antennal joints with some short bristles near their tips. Proboscis about as long as the height of the head, the basal half yellowish, the apical half blackish ; palpi very long, longer than proboscis, some- what broadened and flattened at the tips, with a few yellowish hairs.
