This variety is smaller than the Large Field, but of finer grain, sweeter and very prolific. First-rate either for the table or for feeding to stock. Thete are two classes of Radishes, those for spring and summer use, which are small and arrive quickly at maturity, and those for winter use, which are large and â mature slowly, and with proper care, can be kepi all winter. The summer Radishes should be used while young and tender; if allowed to grow too long they be- come tough and stringy; they thrive best in a light rich soil. For a successive supply, sow from the middle of March until September, at intervals of two or three weeks. For an early supply, they may be sown on a mild hot-bed in February. The winter varieties may be sown from the. latter part of July to the middle of Sep- tember. New Celestial Radish.
