pedestrian walking across the millennium Bridge across the River Thames in London England. The famed Blackfriars bridge in rear

The London Millennium, a pedestrian-only steel suspension footbridge that spans the River Thames in London, England, UK between the Southwark Bridge and Blackfriars Bridge. It was the first new bridge on the Thames river since Tower Bridge in 1894. The bridge was closed just three days after opening in 2000 because it vibrated too much with the foot traffic. The engineers have since fixed the bridge with energy dissipating dampers. Overcast weather. Very High Resolution.
