billingford windmill winter suffolk norfolk borders england europe uk gb

Billingford Mill was built by W. Skinner between 1859 and 1860 to replace a post mill which blew down in strong winds shortly before. The five storey high, red brick tower corn mill cost £1,300 to construct. The white boat shaped cap was tarred in its latter working years but painted white during restoration.
