This is one of the show caves of France. It was discovered in 1897 by a shepherd, Louis Armand. The visit starts with a ride in a funicular railway taking visitors 100m underground to a cavern large enough to accommodate the Cathédrale de Notre Dame in Paris. 400 spectacular stalagmites create a ‘forest’ of shapes including the tallest stalagmite in the world at 30m
