Both birds fought for only a few seconds. HUNGARY: IMAGES CAPTURED of two male greenfinch birds in a battle for the most alpha-bird image shows the two goldfinch birds squaring-up to each other and getting ready for battle. Another image captured the moment the two birds clasped their beaks in a battle stance. Farmer and Wildlife Photographer David White (75) from Marlborough Downs, Wiltshire captured intense images of two greenfinch birds in a battle in Hungary. David used an Olympus System OM1 camera to capture the up-close shots. Being around nine-feet from the action, David watched as one greenfinch swooped down closer to David, quickly followed by another male. The two males instantly recognised the other, resulting in a rapidly accelerated battle of the beaks. The birds only fought for a couple of seconds, but David was able to capture the up-close action from beginning to end. ?One male was joined by another, leading to a very quick fight,? he said. ?It was over in a flash, but as soon as I saw the first reaction of the birds I knew there would be a fight. ?I was ready for it. ?It only lasted a couple of seconds. ?It?s always great to see action, nature in the ENDS mediadrumimages/David White
