Sea kale, Crambe maritima, growing in the shingle of Chesil Beach westwards of West Bexington towards Cogden in Dorset England UK GB. Sea kale is related to the cabbage and can be cultivated. It’s purple shoots are edible but later they become tough. It is generally found in the wild just above the high tide mark on shingle beaches. Picture shows leaf detail and colour.
