Figure 70 represents a well-arranged factory in Northern Vermont in which the whole is under one roof. In some factories the curing and store-houses are made separately, with every appliance for coolness, such as shutters and ventilators, double walls, and an open space under the building. A separate curing house belonging to a well known New York factory is shown at figure 72. These buildings are plain but sufficient for every purpose.
