He entered L. \ . as a Freshman and was indeeda queer one, for instead of being green and impudent, hewas extremely bashful. But first impressions are seldomlasting and things are not always what they seem, for he hasacquired the happy faculty of knowing how to stand inwith all the girls. Although not a football athlete, he haswon laurels along the line of tennis, being captain of theteam during his Sophomore vear. In his studies he is alsosuccessful, for he has the reputation of sticking to a subjectuntil he has mastered it. He belongs to the Ladies AidSociety and has already discovered that the course of truelove never runs smooth ; but we hope that after graduationhe will be able to make a lasting impression on a dark-evedgirl, formerly of the Class of 17 but graduating with 1
