Committees representing the retailers and growers met, and had a further con- ference, December 3, in an attempt to iron out existing differences. The result of the meeting was not announced, but a conciliatory attitude was adopted hy both parties, which is encouraging. Frank J. Edgar's wonderful cycla- mens are attracting a host of visitors. They are the best he has ever had, and are selling fast, many going to New York parties. One half of his new house contains a fine lot of poinsettias, cinerarias filling the remaining half. A splendid lot of begonias, chiefly Melior, are in good shape for the holidays. Chrysanthemums are about all cut, while hydrangeas and roses are being prepared to occupy all vacant spaces.
