John Marshall Groves was promoted to the rank of colonel in the United States Air Force at the armory named after his late father, Adjutant General John Russell Groves, Jr. Col. Groves is pictured in front of the armory with his mother, Barbara Groves and his brother Kentucky Air National Guard Lt. Col. Matt Groves.
