That when he became Bifhop of Ely, he had The Confideration of all which Matters, afterdivers and fundry Debates, was agreed, fhouldbe referred to the two Chief Juftices ; and thatthey fhould make their Report, and give theirOpinions touching the laid Matter, and in whomthe Right refted. And the Chief Juftices having advifedlyweighed and confidered the feveral Proofs, andafterwards being prefent in the Star-Chamber,together with the faid Sir Nicholas Bacon, andSir Walter Mildway, the 9th of June, in the 12th of.
