Solar activity on the Sun.
October 28, 2010 - Solar activity on the Sun. A dynamic swirling mass of plasma kept spinning above the Sun's surface for over two days. Not to be outdone, a shorter-lived prominence rose up and blew away into space near the upper left edge of the Sun. Together, they make a nice combination of activity on the ever-changing Sun.
