Between the twoends of the horseshoe was a table feet in length on which was placedthe exhibition flowers which consistedof three vases of seedling carnationsof 150 each and one vase of about 75blooms of the new red carnation whichis making such a hit in this locality,shown by A. Thehall was decorated with wild smilaxand decorative plants, the mantle be-ing decorated with ferns, smilax andvariegated vinca, and was beautiful,the variegated vinca proving a finedecorative plant as here used withother greens. Every member of theclub sent in an abundance of the bestthey had and on behalf of the com-mittee in charge the writer extendsto them a vote of thanks for theirkindness, not only for their flowers,but for their assistance and presence,thereby making the aifair the grandsuccess it was. The Committee Incharge deserve great credit for theway everything was carried out andthe decorating affairs. ChairmanBoehm was responsible for the beau-tiful table decorations which showedhim to be a master hand, and he wasably assisted by Harry Bills.
