London, England, United Kingdom. Boats tied up at piers along the Embankment sit stationary in the River Thames next to the Golden Jubilee Bridge.

Boats and ships tied up at piers along the Embankment sit stationary in the River Thames next to the Golden Jubilee Bridge and the Hungerford Bridge. The spans appear as one, with the Golden Jubilee Bridge providing pedestrian access while sharing the same foundation as the inner Hungerford Bridge (also known as the Charing Cross Bridge) which is a railroad bridge proving access to Charing Cross Station pictured beyond the bridges. The Hungerford Bridge opened in 1864 while the Golden Jubilee spans was added in 2002. Charing Cross Station or London Charing Cross as it is also known dates to 1864 and is a terminal for commuter lines and trains destined for southeast England.
