Onebend of the river is so exactly like another, that thepilots have to place stones, to enable them to distinguishbetween the different reaches, to which they give sepa-rate names. As the river improved in depth, so our progressbecame more satisfactory, and we made 67J- miles toKas-al-Kheyran during this day.
