As a counselorhe is conservative yet decided, seldomvouchsafing an opinion without impart-ing the most careful scrutiny and de-liberate consideration. In domestic life he is much attachedto the home circle. He resides at 973Union avenue,where he is surrounded byhome comforts such as are dictated byliberal tastes for enjoyment and otherauxiliaries conducive to Fred B. Rowe. William H. Flanders Fred B. Rowe, hosiery manu-facturer, is anative of Laco-nia, and one ofour youngermanufacture r swho has madea success inthis line. Hewas born Janu-ary 13, 1 87 receivedhis educationin the publicschools of thiscity. In 1888he commencedas book-keeperfor the LaconiaManufacturi ngCompany, andcontinued withthis concern forthree years. In1891 he started in the hosiery businessfor himself in a small way, and twoyears later formed a partnership withM, P. Marshall. The partnership continued for fouryears, and then Mr. Marshall retiredfrom the firm, and Mr. Rowe has sincecarried on the business alone withexcellent success.
