This superb edifice, the most, ornate ofthe ecclesiastical buildings of New York, is located inBroadway, near Tenth street, and commands a fineview of the great avenue of the city, north and lofty spiral and richly decorated steeple is an objectof universal admiration. There is one large and twoless sized doors in front. Over the main entrance is acircular window of stained glass, and two tall, oblongwindows in each side of the upper section of the is a grand array of pillars, carved work, andupwards of forty windows of stained glass, each givingdifferent hues of vision. There is a little too much oftheatrical glitter in the interior, to comport with thechastened solemnities of religious worship. It was. First Presbyterian Church, 5th Avenue.
