A Portuguese man o' war jellyfish washed up on the beach at sunrise in Isle of Palms, South Carolina. The man o’ war is often called a jellyfish, but is actually a marine invertebrate called a siphonophore, made up from a colony of specialized, genetically identical organisms called zooids.
